Fall 2022 High School Fee Assistance DEADLINE September 02, 2022
In-School Youth 14+/High School Fee Assistance/Incentives:
- School fees up to $500 per semester (no carry over)
- Participation fee for school-sponsored sports
- School sports physical and equipment (sports, band)
- School-sponsored clubs, activity pass, parking permit
- Driver’s education class (one-time payment only)
- Required uniform (school uniform, sports team, band, choir, etc.)
- Camps required by the school
- Computer insurance fees for a school-issued computer
- ACT or SAT testing fees
- Basic high school graduation package (announcement, cap, gown, tassel)
- Class fees (college credit, shop, arts fee, etc.)
Note: If taking a college credit class, student must complete a Secondary Classroom Training Contract (same monetary amount as secondary classroom training clients).
Note: AIC is not able to pay for food, computers, or travel.
Documentation: AIC must have proper documentation — letter from school on letterhead or email confirming requirements.

- Vocational Certificate
Note: New or inactive students must reapply with all documentation. Students must be enrolled in a federally recognized Tribe or show proof of lineage.
Fall 2021 Tuition Assistance
DEADLINE: September 10, 2021
Supporting Documents Needed for Tuition Assistance
- Listing of All Financial Aid Awarded — Provide the latest official semester financial aid award from your school (not an estimate).
- Pell Award or Denial Verification (2021–2022) — If you do not qualify for FAFSA/Pell, provide denial documentation.
- Tribal Award Letter (2021–2022) — If not eligible/awarded, submit denial documentation from your Tribe.
- Cost of Tuition, Fees & Student/Campus Housing — Current semester statement listing tuition, fees, and housing costs.
- Class Schedule — Include school name and your name.
- Cost of Books — List required books and their costs. Book costs charged to your student account will be added to your tuition assistance amount and paid to your college; otherwise, submit original receipts for reimbursement.
Submit all documents to your Employment Specialist.
Summer 2021 Tuition Assistance
DEADLINE: June 25, 2021
Required Documents
- Financial Aid Award Letter — From your school’s financial aid office.
- Pell (FAFSA) Award or Denial Verification (2020–2021).
- Tribal Award or Denial Letter.
- Cost of Tuition, Books, and Fees — Summer 2020 (as applicable).
- Class Schedule — With your name and school logo.
- List of required books and costs.
Please contact your Employment Specialist to schedule an appointment to complete the required documents. AIC is a supplemental tuition assistance program after all grant awards have been applied; if a balance remains after grants, AIC may assist with tuition, fees, student housing, and textbooks.
Client Responsibility
- Maintain contact with AIC; your Employment Specialist monitors progress and is available to assist.
- Attend school/worksite as scheduled and follow site policies and procedures.
- Submit attendance reports/timesheets per schedule with required signatures (work experience participants).
- Stay in contact at least every 90 days, submit grades, and meet deadlines.
- Inform your Employment Specialist of any issues or changes at your site.
If you are an active client, notify your Employment Specialist if any of the following occur:
- New phone number or mailing address.
- Changes at work (wage, hours, position, employer) or employment ending.
- Withdrawal from training or schooling.
- Grade incentive requests — within 30 days after the semester ends.
AIC will continue to serve throughout the pandemic
AIC moved to a remote style of work due to the pandemic but continued to serve clients.
